July, 2006 CitiApartments Helps the Housing Problem and the Environment CitiApartments purchased 1547 Clay, a 27-unit apartment complex in Nob Hill, on August 30, 2005. When the building was purchased the elevator had been broken for almost 10 years and there were 21 uninhabitable units. In less than a year, after tremendous work done by the entire staff, Kelly Baker (District Manager) and Jim Naylor (Operations Manger) restored the apartments to the rental market. CitiApartments spent an upwards of $700,000 to bring this building up to the level of quality they pride themselves on. Along with the restoration of 21 units CitiApartments also installed new plumbing throughout the building, all new carpets in the common areas, new wainscoting lining to the hallways, new paint to the exterior and interior, new light fixtures, new marble floors throughout lobby and elevator, new laundry room, replaced every window with double panned windows, installed security lights in the parking garage and performed a full electrical upgrade; benefiting both old and new residents alike. Along with the above improvements, CitiApartments is also very proud to introduce 1547 Clay as its first fully green building, cleaned with a Hepa vacuum and all earth friendly products.
