November, 2006 CitiApartments Makes Substantial Contribution to San Francisco Food Bank San Francisco, CA (HTC-PR) - November 1, 2006 CitiApartments, the fastest-growing landlord in San Francisco, made a donation to the San Francisco Food Bank as part of its continued effort to assist local non-profit organizations. CitiApartments has been a proud member of the San Francisco community for more than 60 years and places a significant emphasis on community involvement and support. In an effort to help end hunger, the San Francisco Food Bank will distribute more than 26 million pounds of food this year to low-income families, individuals and more than 500 local nonprofit agencies. Every holiday season, the San Francisco Food Bank sees an increase in need among San Francisco's low-income population. With every dollar donated the Food Bank can distribute nine dollars worth of food to the community. The donation made by CitiApartments will go a long way to help feed more families over the holidays. "This is just the beginning our of community support campaign," said David Raynal, COO of CitiApartments. "Over the next six months we will be donating over $10,000 to local charities to demonstrate our support for local organizations all working together to improve our community." "And I'm calling upon all of my friends and neighbors, civic leaders, community groups and others to do the same and donate to the San Francisco Food Bank," Raynal said. "If we all pitch in, we can make a big difference for families in need." With your help, the San Francisco Food Bank is able to acquire and distribute food to people in need through food pantries, soup kitchens, child care centers, homeless shelters, senior centers and other human services programs that have meal programs.
